Ukraine fulfills court decision to compensate portion of expenses on Russian debt case
Ukraine has paid a portion of Russia's court expenses in proceedings regarding debt on Russian Eurobonds the country bought, fulfilling the decision of the London court hearing the case, Russia's Finance Ministry reported.
"The Law Debenture Corporation, which represents the client or trustee interests of Russia as the single owner of Ukrainian debt with a nominal value of $3 billion, has confirmed that it has received a payment of 1.16 million pounds sterling from Ukraine. In this way, Ukraine has fulfilled the decision by the higher court of London calling on Ukraine to compensate a portion of court expenses incurred by the Russian side," the Finance Ministry said.
