First tender to introduce 4G communications to be held in Nov-Dec 2017
The first tender to introduce LTE technology for mobile 4G communications will be held in November or December 2017 for the 2,600 MHz range.
An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that Head of the National Commission for Communications and Informatization Regulation (NCCR) Oleksandr Zhyvotovsky said on the sidelines of the Huawei CA&C Mobile Broadband Forum in Kyiv on Tuesday.
"The first tender is expected to take place in November or December. Now it is time for operators. Each of them is making the conversion plans. We are working with the operators now. The ball is in their court. When they finish the document we will be able to officially announce the tender," he said.
Zhyvotovsky said that the 4G tender for 1,800 MHz could be held in one or two months after the first tender is held.
