The draft national budget for 2018 envisages the provision of UAH 10 billion for regional development, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said presenting the draft document on Friday.
"We retain decentralization. We need that local budgets are expanding. UAH 10 billion is foreseen for regional development this year and UAH 10 billion next year. Thus, local budgets would expand by 36%," he said.
He also said that the government intends to toughen requirements to local authorities in the sphere of money distribution.
