PGO investigating into abuse of office by Ukrspyrt officials
Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) is conducting a pretrial investigation into a criminal case regarding abuse of office by officials of Ukrspyrt causing large loss to the state.
The press service of the PGO said that the investigators have established that officials of Ukrspyrt abused office when holding tenders to procure natural gas for the needs of the state-owned enterprise (SOE) using public funds.
"However, in contradiction to the economic interests of the SOE the winner of the tender was announced a bidder with the highest price, which also had signs of shell company," the PGO said.
A loss of UAH 4 million was caused to the state in May 2017.
The investigation is underway.
