Taxpayers paid UAH 412 billion of taxes and duties to the national budget in January-July 2017, and this was UAH 89.3 billion or 27.7% more than a year ago, the State Fiscal Service has reported on its website.
"In 2017, the fiscal service posts payments to the national budget exceeding the targets every month. These results have been achieved thanks to toughening of measures aimed at bringing the economy out of the shadows, increasing combat with smuggling and violation of customs rules," the press service said, citing acting State Fiscal Service Head Myroslav Prodan.
He also said that the authority enforced the collection of taxes in the amount being 5% of total payments.
As reported, revenue of the national budget of Ukraine in January-July 2017 totaled UAH 447.63 billion, which is 10.3% or UAH 41.8 billion above the target for the period. Revenue grew by UAH 146.33 billion or 48.6% year-over-year.
