OPAL unblocking has not influenced loading of Ukrainian GTS
Daily transit of Russian natural gas across the Ukrainian gas transport system (GTS) on August 7, 2017 totaled almost 276 million cubic meters (mcm), and this is the highest figure since February 2017.
According to data from public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz, on August 5 and August 6 transit via the Ukrainian GTS exceeded 270 mcm: 273.5 mcm and 272.3 mcm respectively.
On August 1 through August 7, transit totaled almost 1.86 billion cubic meters (bcm) or 265.6 mcm a day.
Earlier OPAL Gastransport GmbH & Co. KG reported that on August 8, 2017 the eastern section of Nord Stream – OPAL gas pipeline – has reached its full capacity.
Last Wednesday Gazprom again received access to earlier blocked gas pipeline. If on August 1, the pipeline was used by 635, on August 2 the loading grew to 80%, and on Tuesday it reached 102%.
