Court voids addendum to Ukrzaliznytsia, WOG's contract to supply fuel
Kyiv's business court on July 27, 2017 upheld a claim of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and voided an addendum to the contract on supply of diesel fuel signed in spring 2016 by the Ukrzaliznytsia's branch - Center for Provision of Production – and WOG Aero Jet LLC.
According to a posting on the NABU's Facebook page, the addendum was signed in violation of the law on public procurement and obviously in the interests of the supplier, which resulted in the wasteful spending of UAH 92 million.
"The adoption of the court ruling was the result of consolidation of the efforts of NABU, the Ukrzaliznytsia board chairman and the Ukrainian infrastructure minister. This is an illustrative example of joint work in combating corruption in state-owned companies," NABU said.
