Poroshenko calls for verifying subsidies

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko considers it necessary to verify subsidies.

"To verify subsidies ... provided to those who are the least protected and who do not have the means to pay an honest price. But if you rent an apartment for $2,000, pay an honest price," Poroshenko said in Kyiv on Thursday during the events devoted to the signing of the law of Ukraine "On the Energy Efficiency Fund."

According to him, the Energy Efficiency Fund should ensure transparency in the use of funds allocated from the budget for subsidies to the population.

The president also specified that UAH 61 billion was provided to cover subsidies by the state budget.
