Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers intends to provide at least UAH 1 billion to support farmers in the 2018 draft national budget, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said.
"We will present a new draft national budget for 2018 in September. The government would propose that parliament provides at least UAH 1 billion for targeted support of the farming restoration and development programs," he said at the forum devoted to decentralization held in Ternopil region on Thursday.
He said that the program would allow supporting small and medium-sized farms.
He said that the draft program for supporting farmers is being designed with direct participation of farmers.
