Agreement on conditions on joining Ukrainian and Moldovan power grids to ENTSO-E takes effect
The agreement on the conditions of the future joining of the Ukrainian and Moldovan power grids to the European Network of Transmission System Operators (ENTSO-E) has taken effect after the signing of the agreement by enough number of systemic operators, the press service of Ukrenergo has reported.
"The signatures put by our European partners show that Europe is ready to move towards us. We have a lot of work ahead, not only for the systemic operator, but also generating companies, authorities and the regulator. There is a clear action plan and we believe in success of the common goal," Ukrenergo Head Vsevolod Kovalchuk said.
As reported, the document consists of three main parts: a catalog of requirements (unconditional fulfillment of which is necessary for making a decision on the merger of the power grids); a list of necessary additional research; and a road map.
