Ukrposhta officially announces force majeure over cyber attack
Public joint-stock company Ukrposhta has published an announcement on the force majeure caused by the cyber attack.
The company said in the Holos Ukrainy government's newspaper on Tuesday that on June 27 the unlawful interference into the company's computer network was recorded in the form of a cyber attack using a virus, which resulted in blocking of servers and working stations of the national postal operator.
"These circumstances influence the possibility of Ukrposhta to fulfill its commitments under the signed agreements, submit reports and properly accrue and pay taxes, duties and fulfill other commitments of Ukrposhta," the company said.
The company filed an application about the crime to the Interior Ministry of Ukraine.
