State, PrivatBank start procedure for collecting loans of ex-bank owners
The legal procedure for collecting loans of former owners of PrivatBank (Kyiv) will be launched by the state and the bank, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said on its official Facebook page on Monday.
According to the NBU, the voluntary loan restructuring term for former owners of PrivatBank expired on July 1, 2017, but they failed to meet their liabilities.
"Thus, the state and PrivatBank have switched to the legal procedure for collecting the loans and implementing the relevant legal strategy, the concrete steps of which cannot be disclosed now," the NBU said.
The bank procedure will be similar to the usual debt collection procedure, and this mainly concerns the forced collection of debts.
