Energy minister waiting for gas pumping schedule from Naftogaz
Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk expects that national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy would present its plans and calculations on pumping of natural gas to underground storage facilities to the ministry.
"The plan envisages 17 billion cubic meters (bcm) as of October 1, 2017, but today Naftogaz Ukrainy has not yet submitted its plan for pumping gas into underground storage facilities," he said at a phone meeting devoted to the preparations for the heating season in Kyiv on Monday.
As reported, the ministry and Naftogaz Ukrainy had different opinions about the volume of gas in its underground storage facilities which the country must have before the start of the heating season. Naftogaz believed that 14.5-15 bcm is enough, while the ministry insisted on 17 bcm.
