Vodafone Ukraine to channel UAH 1.4 bln into payment of dividends
Mobile operator Vodafone Ukraine (PrJSC VF Ukraine) will channel UAH 1.4 billion, or about US$53 million at the current forex rate, into the payment of dividends, the company has reported in the State Securities and Stock Market Commission's disclosure system.
The relevant decision was approved at a general shareholders' meeting on April 27, 2017, the report said.
The list of the persons entitled to dividends should be drawn up and handed over to Vodafone Ukraine CEO Olha Ustinova on June 15.
The dividends are scheduled to be paid from June 15 to October 27, 2017.
Vodafone Ukraine (PrJSC VF Ukraine) is the second largest mobile communications operator in Ukraine. By the end of 2016 its Ukrainian clientele was about 20.9 million subscribers. The operator has about 500 retail outlets across the country.
Vodafone Ukraine is wholly owned by Prelludium B.V. (the Netherlands) and is part of the international group MTS listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker MBT.
