Boryspil airport to expand apron by 10 additional parking lots in 2017
Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv) plans to expand the apron near Terminal D by 10 additional parking lots in 2017, Airport Head Pavlo Riabikin has said.
"As for the aprons, unfortunately, I have not seen any business plan to develop the airport that would have matched the plans of airlines to boost fleet. This is an important issue. The first thing we have done is we tried to gather fleet expansion plans of airlines and understand what volume of apron servicing they would need," he said at a meeting with journalists in Kyiv last week.
Riabikin said that the tender to expand the apron in front of Terminal D has been announced.
"A tender for blueprints to enlarge and expand Terminal D towards the new apron has taken place. The issue of building and launching the gallery will be settled before 2019. It is to be launched by 2020," he said.
