Cypriot president confirms unchanged position on EU sanctions regime against Russia – Poroshenko
Within the framework of participation in the enlarged summit of the European People's Party in Malta, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades during the meeting discussed the preservation of the EU sanctions regime against the Russian Federation, as well as bilateral cooperation and cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
"The parties discussed the preservation of the existing EU sanctions regime in relation to the Russian Federation as an effective instrument for ensuring full implementation of the Minsk agreements and restoring the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine," a message posted on the website of the Ukrainian president on Wednesday evening, says.
The President of the Republic of Cyprus confirmed the unchanged position on the EU sanctions regime against Russia.
Poroshenko and Anastasiades discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
