Ukrtransgaz starts using mobile compressor station to save gas during repair works

Public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz has started using a mobile compressor station. This would help to minimize gas leakage and pump it to a sealed system during repair works.

The press service of Ukrtransgaz reported that when the mobile compressor station was used for the first time the company managed to save 1.3 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas worth UAH 10 million.

The use of the station would allow the company to cut annual gas consumption for process needs by 15 mcm worth over UAH 100 million.

Ukrtransgaz, a wholly owned subsidiary of Naftogaz Ukrainy, operates the country's gas pipelines and 12 underground gas storage facilities with a total capacity of 31 bcm.
