Ferrexpo increases share of sales to Western Europe, cuts that to China and Southeast Asia in 2016
Ferrexpo mining company with major assets in Ukraine in 2016 increased pellet sales by 3.2%, to a new record high, compared to 2015, to 11.697 million tonnes from 11.29 million tonnes.
According to a company report on the website of the London Stock Exchange, the share of pellet sales to Central Europe is the largest - 48% in 2016 and 49% in 2015.
At the same time, in 2016 the share of sales to Western Europe increased to 17% from 11% (in 2015), to Northeast Asia to 16% (from 12%), Turkey, the Middle East and India remained at the level of the previous year - 6%.
The share of sales to China and Southeast Asia declined to 13% from 22%.
In monetary terms, exports to China amounted to $125.788 million (in 2015 some $193.566 million), Japan $96.257 million ($86.343 million), Austria $215.479 million ($188.284 million), Slovakia $48.397 million ($96.211 million), Germany $143.281 million ($102.985 million), and Turkey $58.016 million ($45.497 million).
