Alfa-Bank Ukraine shareholders not planning to sell
The sale of Alfa-Bank Ukraine is not being planned, one of the bank's major shareholders Petr Aven told journalists.
"We are not preparing to sell," Aven said, adding that Alfa-Bank currently has a "normal working relationship" with the National Bank of Ukraine.
Earlier, the director of strategic communication of Alfa-Bank Ukraine, Denis Kazvan, said that after the violence at the beginning of the week, the bank is continuing to operate as normal. A bank representative said that the bank controls the ABH holding. "Shareholders are a group of private individuals, two Ukrainians among them, living in London as well as the Italian banking giant UniCredit Group with a stake of 9.9%. Only a few shareholders with minority stakes are private individuals and Russian citizens," Kazvan said.
Besides UniCredit Group, Alfa-Bank Ukraine's shareholders are Mikhail Fridman, Herman Khan, Alexei Kuzmichev, Petr Aven, Andrei Kosogov and the Mark Foundation for Cancer Research.
