Cabinet to create national telecoms network, secure data centers for state agencies in 2017
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine intends to create a national telecommunications network and secure data centers (data processing centers) for the needs of government agencies in 2017.
According to government resolution No. 155 dated March 10, the relevant measures are envisaged in the action plan on implementing the Cybersecurity Strategy of Ukraine for 2017.
It is planned in the current year to create secure data centers for the needs of government agencies, first of all, subjects of the security and defense sector, financial, energy and transport sectors.
In May it is planned to increase the level of responsibility of government officials, institutions and organizations for failing to comply with the requirements of legislation in the field of information protection in information and telecommunications systems, for violating requirements for informing in the established manner about unauthorized actions (cyber attacks) against state information resources.
