Ukraine cuts oil transit to Europe by 1.7% in two months of 2017
Oil transit through Ukraine to European countries in January-February 2017 decreased by 1.7% (by 38,900 tonnes) compared to the same period in 2016, to 2.241 million tonnes.
According to data from PJSC Ukrtransnafta, in February 2017 transit decreased by 17.7% (by 196,200 tonnes) compared to February 2016, to 915,400 tonnes.
Oil transportation to Ukrainian refineries in January-February 2017 amounted to 216,700 tonnes.
As reported, transit of oil through Ukraine to European countries in 2016 decreased by 8.8% (by 1.331 million tonnes) compared to 2015, to 13.822 million tonnes.
Oil transportation to refineries in Ukraine in 2016 amounted to 1.406 million tonnes, which is 12.5% (200,800 tonnes) less than in 2015.
Ukrtransnafta, 100% managed by Naftogaz Ukrainy, is the operator of the country's oil transportation system.
