Businessman Akhmetov's SCM sees re-registration of Donbas enterprises, paying taxes to DPR, LPR as unacceptable
Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov's System Capital Management (SCM) Group declares that it has always operated and is continuing to operate in compliance with Ukrainian law, including in territories that are temporarily not controlled by Kyiv.
"And no pressure will make us change the jurisdiction of our assets. [...] We see private property as sovereign and consider the demand on re-registering our enterprises and paying taxes to the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR [Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics] unacceptable," SCM said in a statement on Thursday.
The group also said that it was employing hundreds of thousands of people in different regions of Ukraine and was a major supplier of heat, electricity and gas.
