VEB holds talks with Hungary's OTP on sale of Prominvestbank
Representatives of top managers of Prominvestbank (PIB) and Russia's VEB held talks with Hungary's OTP Group, one of the potential buyers of the Ukrainian bank, a source close to the situation told Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.
"Last week representatives of PIB and its shareholders were in Budapest with the purpose of discussing the possible deal," the source said, not disclosing if anything was arranged.
The source said that investors in Ukraine are interested in the purchase of PIB.
VEB and PIB did not comment on the situation.
Earlier VEB said that it plans sell the Ukrainian subsidiary in 2017.
