PM orders energy ministry to create electronic platform for trading with coal by autumn
Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has ordered Ukraine's Energy and Coal Industry to create an electronic platform for trading with coal by this autumn.
"The task for today is not to look up to various [foreign] exchanges, but create a Ukrainian one. By the way, today we have platforms where Shebelynka gas refinery sells its fuel. Why cannot we sell coal? I think that this is the task for the ministry and minister – to submit a proposal [take the ProZorro e-procurement system as an example] and create the electronic coal trading platform, for example, in autumn – for coal from South Africa, Ukrainian, Polish coal or coal from other countries. Then it will be clear about the price for Ukrainian citizens," he said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
