Ukraine imports some 900,000 tonnes of anthracite for $68.7 mln in 2016
Ukraine in 2016 imported 933,408 tonnes of anthracite for $68.663 million, which is equal to average price of $73.60 per tonne.
According to the State Statistics Service, 566,721 tonnes of anthracite for $45.769 million (average price is $80.80 per tonne) were imported from Russia and 366,659 tonnes for $22.88 million (average price is $62.40 per tonne) from South Africa.
In 2016, Ukraine cut imports of anthracite by 13.2% compared to 2015 (1.075 million tonnes) and by 54.6% compared to 2014 (2.054 million tonnes).
