Ukroboronprom ready to annually supply more than 100 drones to army
OJSC Meridian (Kyiv), part of Ukroboronprom state concern, is ready for the mass production of more than 100 BPAK-MP-1 unmanned aerial vehicles per year, the press service of the state concern has said.
"The complex was developed and introduced in production together with scientists from the National Technical University "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute." During this year we have fully established their production and are ready to provide the army with more than 100 drones a year. For this purpose the enterprise deployed a special production line," the press service said citing Meridian head Viacheslav Protsenko.
A BPAK-MP-1 complex consists of three drones, a ground control and surveillance station, an antenna system and charging devices.
According to the report, in 2016 the plant manufactured 11 such devices (i.e. 33 drones and accompanying equipment).
