Poroshenko signs bill increasing excise duties, royalties to balance 2017 national budget
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed bill No. 5132 amending the Tax Code to provide for the balance of budget revenue in 2017. The bill envisages the increase of alcohol and tobacco excise duties and deposit use and radio frequency use royalties required to balance the national budget.
According to information on the Verkhovna Rada's website, Parliament Speaker Andriy Parubiy sent the bill to the president on December 28 and on December 30 the document was returned to parliament with the president's signature.
