Ukraine's Rada increases basic excise duty for petrol by 24.5%
Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada has endorsed bill No. 5132 increasing the basic excise duty for petrol by 24.5% or EUR 42, to EUR 215.50 per 1,000 liters.
A total of parliamentarians backed the document at second reading, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported.
The basic rate of excise duty for gasoil meeting Euro 4 and Euro 5 emission standards will grow by 46.8% or EUR 44.50, to EUR 139.50 per 1,000 liters. The excise duty for diesel fuel meeting lower emission standards will rise by 11.2% or EUR 14, to EUR 139.50 per 1,000 liters.
The excise duty for home heating oil and fuel oil is increased by 43.8% or EUR 42.50, to EUR 139.50 per 1,000 liters.
The basic rate of the excise duty for liquefied gas will grow by 67.7% or EUR 21, to EUR 52 per 1,000 liters.
As reported, parliament decided to annul retail excise duty for fuel and increase the basic rate of the excise duty.
