PrivatBank's debt of UAH 19 bln on NBU refinancing loans to be rescheduled
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) is ready to reschedule the debt of PrivatBank on its refinancing loans being UAH 19 billion today, including UAH 14 billion of overdue debt, Deputy Governor of the NBU Kateryna Rozhkova has said.
"After the transfer of ownership rights we will work with new managers to restructure the debt," she said at a briefing at the NBU on Tuesday.
Rozhkova said that immovable property and movable property in the form of airplanes is used as collateral for these loans.
"Most [of the refinancing loans] are covered with collateral. They [collateral] are in ownership of persons affiliated with shareholders of PrivatBank," Deputy Board Chairman of the NBU Oleh Churiy said.
