Cabinet approves bill on state regulation in satellite navigation
The Cabinet of Ministers has supported the draft law on state regulation in the field of satellite navigation, developed by the State Space Agency of Ukraine.
The government made the corresponding decision under the procedure without discussion at a meeting in Kyiv on December 14.
Prior to submission to the Cabinet, the draft law was approved at a meeting of the government committee.
According to the State Space Agency, the development and adoption of the law on state regulation in satellite navigation are aimed at providing the development of the domestic market of navigational information services; attracting investments and intensifying production activities in the field of satellite navigation with the use of public-private partnership; improving the safety and reliability of the transport and logistics complex and its infrastructure; ensuring measures in the interest of national defense and security.
The draft law on state regulation in the field of satellite navigation meets EU standards in this area.
