Ukrzaliznytsia head hopes company to post some UAH 300 mln in profit in 2016

Public joint-stock company Ukrzaliznytsia would see some UAH 300 million in profit in 2016, Ukrzaliznytsia Board Chairman Wojciech Balczun has said.

"I think that in 2016 we would see profit of near UAH 300 million," he wrote on his Facebook page.

He said that earlier the financial plan for 2016 was revised. The number of repair orders increased, building of new wagons was started, as well as modernization of rolling stock and improvement of procurement.

"The new team of Ukrzaliznytsia shows results, despite all difficulties and challenges they faced in these six months of its operation. We are passing the baton to other state-run enterprises managed by the Infrastructure Ministry. We should put something under the New Year tree who well behaved during the whole year," he said.
