Ukravtodor's debts to contractors for works finished in 2012 is nonsense

Acting head of the State Automobile Roads Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) Slawomir Nowak has said debts of around UAH 1 billion to contractors for works finished earlier are nonsense.

"It was a large surprise for me that the debts for works finished in 2012 have not yet been settled. There remain UAH 1 billion in debts to contractors, many court hearings. This is a large problem," he said at a meeting at the American Chamber of Commerce in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Foreign debts on Ukravtodor's liabilities are in second place.

"Debts to international financial institutions are government's liabilities. The problem for me is the debt to private companies for earlier finished works," he said.
