Websites of Ukrainian Finance Ministry, Treasury remain blocked for two days following hacking attack
The Ukrainian Finance Ministry has suspended payments following a coordinated hacking attack on its website on Tuesday, the ministry press service told Interfax.
Payments have also been suspended in the State Treasury Service, the press service said.
At the same time, the Finance Ministry said the work of the agencies should resume by the end of the day.
According to earlier reports, citing the Finance Ministry, the work of the websites of the ministry and the Ukrainian State Treasury Service was blocked in the morning of December 6 as a result of a coordinated professional hacking attack. The agency said the cyber attack had damaged network equipment and that the websites of the ministry and the State Treasury Service were not working.
