Russian Energy Minister: Russia will work with Ukraine strictly according to contract, no take or pay exceptions
During trilateral discussions on Russian gas supplies to Ukraine, the Russian side will work with Ukraine strictly according to contract without any take or pay exceptions, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told journalists.
"That was not discussed," he said, in response to a question on whether during his meeting with European Commission Vice President Maros Sefcovic they discussed issues on providing Ukraine with any tariff preferences on gas purchases from Gazprom, for instance through take or pay conditions.
"We will act strictly according to contract," he said.
