Deposit Guarantee Fund gets UAH 5.9 bln from insolvent banks in ten months of 2016

The Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund in January-October 2016 received UAH 5.93 billion from the banks being under liquidation, according to the fund's website.

According to the report, in particular UAH 3.45 billion was received in repayment of the fund creditors' claims, UAH 2.4 billion from the sale of assets, and UAH 80.4 million from leasing the banks' assets.

According to the report, as of November 1 the fund had filed 3,346 applications to law enforcement agencies on identifying violations at insolvent banks for a total of UAH 281.9 billion. At the same time, the largest violations are related to bank owners and management.

The total amount of money accumulated by the fund as of November 1 was UAH 7.83 billion, including UAH 5.07 billion of funds invested in government domestic loan bonds. In January-September revenues to the fund from regular fees amounted to UAH 3.33 billion.

The register of the fund's members on November 1 included 101 banks.

According to the fund, the total amount of money paid to depositors of insolvent banks stood at UAH 80.16 billion as of November 1.
