PM backs checking reason why Kyivenergo makes mistakes in heating supply bills for Oct
Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman backs the idea of checking the reason why Kyivenergo made mistakes in heating supply bills for October in Kyiv by the Interior Ministry.
At a government meeting on Wednesday Groysman said that some residents of Kyiv received bills with the tariffs set too high.
"We heard that it was a mistake, but it is very strange. When someone is trying to create panic, bills with doubled and tripled figures appear," he said.
Deputy Prime Minister Volodymyr Kistion said that Kyivenergo explained the situation by a technical mistake.
The prime minister said heat supply companies should not make such mistakes. He called on Kyivenergo to apologize to consumers.
"I think that here we could have criminal responsibility for sending bills to people with inadequate tariffs. I warn everyone. This is not something to play around with," he said.
Interior Minister Arsen Avakov proposed to send the Kyivenergo's explanations to the Interior Ministry to establish the reason of the mistake.
