Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada the bill on amendments to the law on the individual deposit guarantee system on the compensation of damage to individuals caused by the abuse in the field of banking and financial services.
Poroshenko said this during a meeting with representatives of Bank Mykhailivsky's depositors, the president's press service reported on Friday.
The president flagged the bill as urgent.
"I urge members of parliament to put it to the vote and vote for it on Tuesday," the president added.
Poroshenko stressed that the bill provides for the right of the Individual Deposit Guarantee Fund to ensure the return of funds after a careful consideration of all the circumstances of each individual deposit contract and after the development of the payment procedure.
