PSO gas suppliers sign contracts to buy gas for households with Naftogaz
Gas supplies with special liabilities (PSO) on October 27 signed contracts to buy gas for the needs of households with national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy, the press service of Regional Gas Company has reported.
The company said that the two-month delay with the signing of the documents was due to Naftogaz's fault.
The contracts signed on October 27 factored out the budget subsidies in parentheses for usual payments between PSO companies and Naftogaz. Payments between PSO companies and Naftogaz within the sums of subsidies will be settled only under the clearing procedure (using mechanisms outlined in government resolution No. 20 of January 11, 2005).
"The contracts envisage separate procedures for payments between Naftogaz and PSO suppliers depending on the payment unit – money or subsidies. This would make the state-run company to sign subsidy protocols on time and not to provoke a crisis of payments. Due to this fact, PSO suppliers had debts of over UAH 7 billion to Naftogaz as of October 1," the company said.
