Court arrests Karpatygaz's equipment

A court by request of Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has arrested technological equipment of Karpatygaz LLC, the press service of PGO has reported.

The cost of the equipment is around UAH 4 billion.

The equipment was arrested as part of an investigation. It is suspected that damage was caused to the state during the implementation of joint operation agreements signed between Ukrgazvydobuvannia and private companies.

"Officials of one of the largest gas producers in Ukraine, Karpatygaz LLC, during gas production acted under collusion with officials of Ukrgazvydobuvannia. They created criminal schemes starting from 2011 and embezzled gas condensate, reduced tax liabilities on VAT, profit tax and deposit royalties," the press service said.

As reported, joint operations of Ukrgazvydobuvannia and Karpatygaz resulted in UAH 87.317 million loss in 2015.
