Health Ministry signs procurement agreement with Crown Agents to use 2016 budget funds
Ukraine's Health Ministry has signed a medicine procurement agreement with Britain's Crown Agents to use 2016 budget funds.
Crown Agents told Interfax-Ukraine that the agreement was signed on October 27.
Soon it would be specified under what programs and what cost of the procurement will be.
Crown Agents recalled that on November 6, 2015 the agency signed a contract with the Health Ministry to buy child and adult cancer medicines worth $32 million
"Under the program Crown Agents has finalized 92% of all supplies. The rest of them are to be finished before December 7, 2016. 29 companies, 45% of which are direct manufacturers, supply 314 items," Crown Agents said.
Crown Agents said that during medicine procurement using 2015 budget funds, the price of medicines for the Health Ministry was cut by 37.9% on average, and the price of around 84% of items was lower than in 2014.
