Ukrainian government approves draft Tax Code changes
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on Wednesday approved changes to the nation's budget, customs and tax codes.
"Tax loopholes providing opportunity for corruption have been tightened. Business regulations and procedures for administering taxes have been simplified," Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk said about the measures.
As earlier reported, on October 24 Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said the positive performance demonstrated by Ukraine's Customs Service was not enough. He added progress would be accelerated by a necessary additional reform that may be launched on January 1, 2017.
