Boryspil airport sees 2.2-fold rise in net profit in Jan-Sept
State-run enterprise Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv), the country's largest airport, saw a 2.2-fold rise in net profit in January-September 2016, to UAH 1.026 billion.
The airport said that its net revenue over the period grew by 30%, to UAH 2.446 billion.
As reported, Boryspil Airport in January-September 2016 increased its passenger traffic by 16% year-over-year and 21% from January-September 2014, compared to the same period of 2015, to 6.47 million people. In 2016, the airport seeks to service over 8.3 million passengers.
Boryspil Airport Head Yevhen Dykhne said that if there were no large exchange rate fluctuations, the state-run enterprise would see UAH 1.2 billion of net profit, while earlier the airport anticipated that it would post UAH 1 billion in net profit in 2016.
Boryspil airport services over 68% of passenger transportation in Ukraine. It is the only airport in the country servicing long-haul flights. Over 50 airlines fly from the airport on more than 100 routes all over the world.
