Cabinet approves terms of another tender to sell Odesa port-side plant

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the terms of a repeated tender for the privatization of PJSC Odesa port-side chemical plant.

The government made the relevant decision at a meeting on October 19.

"The basic conditions of participation are much better than they were in May [during the first unsuccessful tender]," Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said.

According to the government resolution, the starting price of the plant has been decreased to UAH 5.160 billion, the term of privatization has been extended until January 7, 2017.

On October 6 Groysman said the Cabinet intends to approve the starting price of Odesa port-side plant proposed by the State Property Fund.

"We are now looking forward to proposals from the State Property Fund as for the next round of the sale of this object. I believe it will be successful," the premier said.

As reported, the State Property Fund scheduled a tender for the sale of a 99.567% stake in Odesa port-side plant with a starting price of UAH 13.175 billion for July this year, but it failed due to no bids.
