Ukraine for the first time includes several offshore companies in sanctions list
Ukraine for the first time has included several offshore companies posing a threat to the national interest in its sanctions list, namely Judson Trading Limited (Cyprus), Rock Ranch Properties S.A. (Panama), Powerful Choice Tech Ltd (the British Virgin Islands), Global Games Ltd (Belize), Novastar Group Ltd (Belize) and Gordon Solution Ltd (the British Virgin Islands).
The corresponding decision is stipulated in presidential decree No. 467/2016, the text of which, as well as related sanctions lists, are posted on the presidential website.
According to the document, all the above companies, except for Judson Trading Limited (Cyprus), is subject to asset blocking, i.e. temporary restrictions on the right of persons to use their property, restricting trade operations in the territory of Ukraine, in addition to preventing the withdrawal of capital from Ukraine, the suspension of fulfillment of economic and financial liabilities and a total ban on transactions in securities, whose issuers are persons to whom sanctions are applied according to this law.
