Ukrnafta intends to create own gas trader, try gas imports from EU
Public joint-stock company Ukrnafta intends to create own company to trade with gas and try to import gas from Europe, Ukrnafta Head Mark Rollins told reporters in Nadvirna, Ivano-Frankivsk region on Tuesday.
"We plan to create a trading company, first to trade with own resources, but we will also make experiments and buy some volumes of gas in Europe," he said.
He added that in September the company sold the own gas pm on the market.
"In September we sold the entire volume of our gas on the market. In this period Dniproazot [Ukrnafta leases production facilities at Dniproazot to make mineral fertilizers from own gas] was undergoing repair," he said.
Rollins said that the company would offer other market players to start selling some amounts of gas at one of the Ukrainian exchanges.
