MHP to increase poultry output at Dutch plant from 1,500 to 10,000 tonnes per month
Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) plans to increase poultry output at its plant in the Netherlands to 10,000 tonnes per month, MHP Chairman Yuriy Kosiuk has said.
"Today we've reached 1,500 tonnes a month. I think our goal is 10,000 tonnes per month," he told reporters on the sidelines of the Kyiv International Economic Forum.
However, he found it difficult to say how soon this volume of processing will be reached.
"We are working hard [to achieve the goal of 10,000 per month]. We invest much, work much with the clients. The European market is heavy, there are high duties here, because we are going outside the customs quota," he said.
In addition, according to Kosiuk, production profitability in the Netherlands is zero due to payment of customs duties.
"There is no profitability there due to the fact we pay duties. We are just opening up new markets, that's all," he added.
