U.S. expects new fair auction for Odesa Port-Side Plant sale

The United States expects that the auction for the sale of Odesa port-side chemical plant will be held within next few weeks on market terms, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch has said.

Speaking at the Kyiv International Economic Forum 2016 on Thursday, the ambassador said that they expect the new auction not only to become a source of revenue for the national budget, but also to break a long tradition of illicit enrichment at the cost of public companies.
