Cancelation of state regulations on foods prices to have no impact, possible hikes viewed as seasonal - Groysman
The cancellation of state regulations on foods prices for three months will have no impact, and possible price hikes could be seasonal, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said.
"We'd like to monitor for these three months, to analyze. I'm sure that the situation will be normal. If there are fluctuations [of food prices], I'd like to see them as a seasonal factor," he told reporters during his visit to Berezan in Kyiv region on Friday.
The premier says that the measure could become one more tool to ease pressure on business in the retail trade sector.
"This is an anti-corruption step, which, I hope, will be adequately accepted by Ukrainian businesses. However, if there is anyone who will misuse it - a three-month transitional period is designed for this," he said.
