Cabinet will gain control over Naftogaz from Economic Ministry on Sept 22

The Cabinet of Ministers will take control over Naftogaz Ukrainy from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said.

"Today we'll make another decision to transfer the management of Naftogaz Ukrainy from the Ministry of Economic Development to the Cabinet of Ministers," he said.

As reported, there arose a conflict with Ukrtransgaz in mid-September. The ministry, without notifying the Naftogaz management, by an order dated September 7 renewed the charter of the company, undertaking the functions of the management of PJSC Ukrtransgaz in terms of changing the board and the supervisory council, as well as approving its financial plan and investment program, whereas previously this function was performed by Naftogaz.
