State budget for 2017 includes UAH 10.5 bln from special confiscation - Groysman
Ukraine's Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has stated the draft national budget for 2017 includes UAH 10.5 billion from the confiscated funds of former senior officials, while in general special confiscation funds total UAH 40 billion.
"We included UAH 10.5 billion from special confiscation funds to the budget for next year, while their total amount is UAH 40 billion," he said during the discussion of the draft national budget for 2017 in the Verkhovna Rada.
According to the premier, these resources should be spent on support for the national economy and defense capability and, as a consequence, improving social standards.
